Join the HRC Migration Studies Lab for a talk and discussion on the future of immigration and DACA, with David Morales, a managing attorney and a Trustee of Yakima Valley College. This talk will explore the evolving legal landscape around DACA, the current challenges facing immigrant communities, and the broader future of U.S. immigration policy. All are welcome to join and share your voice.
About the Speaker
David Morales has dedicated over twelve years to representing workers in their pursuit of justice. His clients include workers facing retaliation for organizing or opposing discrimination, women who have experienced sexual harassment, individuals with disabilities unable to secure workplace accommodations, and local workers replaced by foreign hires.
Service to his community remains a core value for Morales, who currently serves as a Trustee of Yakima Valley College. Additionally, he is a board member for several organizations, including Catholic Charities Housing (CC Central Washington), the Southcentral Coalition of People of Color for Redistricting, the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, and Front and Centered. For over a decade, Morales has contributed weekly on-air segments for KDNA Spanish-language community radio, covering political issues impacting the Latino community, as well as numerous articles for El Sol de Yakima. His extensive work also includes initiatives focused on voting rights, immigrant rights, and community enhancement projects.
