The VCU Humanities Research Center, VCUarts, Rams in Recovery, and Richmond’s Inclusive Recovery City Initiative invite you to join us for Recovery in Practice, April 17–19, 2025 at the VCU Institute for Contemporary Art and 1708 Gallery. This conference will feature artists, writers, and activists with lived experience with substance use disorders, and highlight the important work being done in the Richmond community to celebrate folks in recovery, reduce stigma for people who use drugs, and address the intersectional nexus between recovery and decarceration.
